Jonas Plewka’s journey began with a passion for understanding people and society. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies, diving deep into ethics, culture, and the human condition. This academic foundation honed Jonas’s critical thinking and empathy.
Beyond academics, Jonas committed himself to social causes. He spent years volunteering in integration programs, helping refugees and newcomers feel at home in Germany. Through these projects, he learned firsthand the value of community, understanding, and making a positive impact in people’s lives.
At the heart of his life is his family. Living in Germany with his Chinese wife and two kids near the countryside, Jonas embraces the simplicity and warmth of an easy family life. His home is a sanctuary where diverse cultures blend seamlessly, providing balance and inspiration. This intimate environment not only grounds him amid the fast pace of his professional ventures but also enriches his perspective on community and personal growth.
Entrepreneurial Journey
Combining philosophy with finance, Jonas ventured into entrepreneurship to drive meaningful change. He is the CEO and co-founder of Pengoro, a financial consulting company dedicated to helping expatriates navigate the German financial landscape. Under his leadership, Pengoro has guided over 1,000 expats through personalized consultations, making complex topics like insurance and investments simple and accessible.
Jonas’s innovative spirit led him to launch Sealion Invest, a project in the cryptocurrency space. With Sealion, he explores new frontiers in digital finance, aiming to make crypto investments more secure and approachable for a broader audience. This venture reflects his drive to stay ahead of industry trends and embrace cutting-edge solutions.
In addition, Jonas is a passionate programmer. As a self-taught developer, he often builds tools and prototypes in his free time to streamline processes or test new ideas. This hands-on approach to technology keeps him at the forefront of innovation and allows him to bring creative, tech-driven solutions into his businesses.
